Atlanta Business Radio to Feature Shorter’s Business School

Rome, Ga. – Dr. Heath Hooper, Dean of the Robert H. Ledbetter College of Business at Shorter University, will be featured on Atlanta Business Radio at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 24.
During the broadcast, Dr. Hooper will discuss the Ledbetter College’s programs, students, recognitions, and growth.
“We are excited to highlight the programs of Shorter University and the Ledbetter College of Business, but also to create future opportunities for our students through internship and job opportunities,” Dr. Hooper said.
Among the topics of discussion will be the Ledbetter School’s strong record of internship placements with such companies as Action Sports Council (Australia); Lake Point Sports; Scott Logistics; Panera Bread; Rome Braves; Atlanta Falcons; Price, Waterhouse, Cooper; Ernst & Young; and the Department of Homeland Security.
In addition, Dr. Hooper will highlight Shorter’s tradition of excellence within the worldwide Glo-Bus Simulation, including a first-place finish in the competition for interactive business simulation exercises at more than 1,800 colleges around the globe. He will also discuss the recent national rankings garnered by Shorter’s Sport Management Program. The university’s Online MBA in Sport Management was recently ranked No. 4 in the nation, according to SportsManagementDegreeHub.com. During the fall 2017 semester, TheBestColleges.org placed Shorter’s program in the No. 2 spot on its list of the Top 5 Online Associate in Sports Management Programs for 2017; CollegeChoice.net ranked Shorter at No. 9 on its list of Best Online Sport Management Degree; and BestCollegeReviews.org ranked the university at No. 14 on in its 2017-18 rankings of the Top 15 Sport Management Degree Programs Online (Bachelor’s).
